Talking About Hoodwinking the Rakyat...

First Posted on 2nd March 2008:

The closer the election is, the more restless I become, thus the more feverish my posts become. =)

I hardly look at the papers anymore, I watch as less TV as possible, opting to either play my Xbox360 or watching DVD's than endure the half-assed propaganda everywhere. I wonder how many citizens of Malaysia are treated into the fairytale world that is Barisan Nasional via their controlled media now. Isn't it curious that no other news other than events and opinions from the BN side are published? Not even any crimes are reported, no other news at all. Are the robbers and thieves taking a break to follow the election? Feels a little bit like a news vacuum happening in Malaysia!

And talk about the blatant advertising everywhere you go! In the papers you see BN banners and adverts in the TV, even on the billboards when I was on the highway! How much money do you think they have wasted on advertising alone for these 2 weeks? And not just normal adverts. I'm talking about full pages of adverts, EVERYDAY, and billboard advertising every 2km! And how do you think they got the money to do such stuff? Correct, correct, correct. All from public funds.

Do you, as a Malaysian, feel that we are doing well economically? Rising inflation rates, but they say our GDP has increased again, and you believe them? Rising petrol prices, they said we're still cheaper than (NON-OIL PRODUCING) countries, and you believe them? Rising crime rates, unsolved corruption cases, demolishment of temples and churches, they said they're working on it, AND YOU BELIEVE THEM? They send a tumpangnaut into space and say that WE HAVE CONQUERED SPACE, AND YOU BELIEVE THEM? What the fuck did that monkey do in space? What the fuck is our government doing in the Parliament?

If BN retains power, our petrol prices increase again this year, EVERYTHING else increases AGAIN this year... who will be responsible for this shit? Who should be blamed for allowing this mess to continue? YES, it's our sorry own arses, for electing a family-run, corruption-prone government.
